Finally managed to get the cross browser menu system working satisfactorily.
It is the Ultimate Drop
Down Menu 3.01 from brothercake.
I now have a sliding menu in both Internet Explorer and Netscape. In the
process of me trying to sort out a netscape compatibility problem, I managed
to help the author sort out a bug! 
Because the menu system doesn't show up in older browsers I need to put
in a simple menu system for those browsers.

I've added the ageing page
that has some shocking photos.
The cross browser window system isn't quite perfect yet so I'm carrying
on with the existing menu system until someone better than me can solve
the problems.

After much head scratching I found out that if I put the javascript into
the html file rather then referencing them as two external files then
the page works fine! ... on Internet Explorer. I have been looking into
some sliding menus that are cross browsers so that they will work on Netscape
and Opera browsers too.

Fun and games while I try to figure out why these pages get errors
from the server but not from the hard disk! Temporarily stripped out site
counters because they were slowing the site down too much.

Changed my logo on the top left, courtesy of my wife! Added some web site
counters at the bottom of the page. Added a simple search engine to search
my site.
Added a cookie to determine if it is their first visit and initialise
the state of the folders. Getting syntax errors from the server but if
the pages are loaded from my hard disk!!

Updated the map and
testimonials. New pages
are client monitoring with a
download of a spreadsheet to help you, Kinesiology
Contacts, Health Contacts.
Moved links under contacts and renamed it web
design.
On the web design side I found out the web page gets rendered first before
commands in the <body> tag is executed! Knowing this, I was able
to get the menu system to work better because the cookies were being updated
in the wrong place. Also I needed to find out about javascript string
manipulation and file referencing to make sure the icons get referred
to correctly because my webpages are 'neatly' stored in subdirectories!
And Javascript does funny things with the “\” character and
pathnames on the PC use “\” and pathnames on the server use
“/”. Arrgh!!!

Added crystal deodorant stones
and purple plates. Added information
on vaccinations, sugar and vegetarianism. And a mammoth session today
on using cookies to make the folders stay open/shut between screens and
scrolling the menu. Sorry, only works on Internet Explorer.

No progress with the book order form but I've been working really hard
at a new menu system that didn't involve macromedia flash, looked good
and and was quick to download. Found a great
site for scripts and eventually chose this menu system from there.
Had to tweak it a lot mind you! I've added book
testimonials, bookmarking the current page and directions on how to
get here for a kinesiology treatment with a map links. Lots more stuff
to go onto the site tomorrow!

More fun trying to get the email part of the order form
working! Got that part working. Now trying to use cookies to store information
from the order page.

Fixed an email order error in the order form. Changed the page
widths to 750 so that pages will show up completely on an 800x600 screen
without scrolling. Added “back to last page” link to PayPal
and Nochex page.

Registered with Nochex

to take online credit/debit cards payment for my
book. Completely redesigned the book
order page. Added pictures to book wire
binding page.

Using style sheets for a more consistent look. New pages on products
ordering, kinesiology
book order form, book wire
binding. Updated book errata
page. Added “Pain
and Head Points” to Kinesiology Tips. Had to completely redesign
site to include line at bottom to include the time the page was last modified.

I've been searching on the internet for different credit card payment
solutions. The US based ones are reasonable but require a membership or
have rather high commission charges. The UK based ones are totally unreasonable
for small quantities! Finally got the contact
page working!

My computer went down on 6th due to a cooling fan failure. A replacement
fan arrived on Monday and it has taken until today to catch up and start
work on the web site again. Reorganised Kinesiology section: added book
errata and kinesiology tips. Testing
the contacts page again.
