Website Development I have used material from the following sites to help build my website. (I will get round to tidying up this list, honest!) http://www.devguru.com/ was a great site for javascript reference. http://www.jsexamples.com/ had some good examples of passing variables via the url as well as other javascript examples.(19/8/01) http://developer.netscape.com/viewsource/goodman_url_pass/goodman_url_pass.html was a great read on how to pass via the url.(19/8/01) http://www.fg-a.com/ - Where I got my animated flags from.(17/8/01) Bobby 3.2 is a great validator for your site. (12/8/01)
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ - Dynamic Drive - DHTML scripts and components to enhance your web site. (10/08/01) http://www.irt.org/index.htm - Internet Related Technologies - A source of information (10/08/01) ![]() http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/js-round.htm - Excellent site for javascript maths. (8/8/01) I switched to a cross browser menu system, the Ultimate Drop Down Menu 3.01 from brothercake. (5/8/01) Webreference.com
is another great internet source. I found the cookie
script from here very useful (30/7/01). I adapted the sliderbar from this site to move the menu up and down the screen. (29/7/01) Hotscripts.com was a very useful site for looking up javascripts.(29/7/01) Cerebus Webmaster Resources - I adapted the hierachical menu from this site. A searchable directory with hundreds of freebies to help webmasters enhance, promote, design and make money of their sites. Also some onsite features like meta tag generator, scripts archive, SE submitter etc. (27/7/01) Matt's Script Archive - I used the FormMail.pl script from this archive. Animated Gifs and Home Page of Michael G. Shaikun - I used some of the animations found on this site. Other sites for HTML http://www.tips-tricks.com/begin.asp - The Easiest HTML guide for Beginners. http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/ - Webmonkey http://www.zdnet.com/devhead/ - ZDNet http://www.w3.org/ - The World Wide Web Consortium. I've been using their HTML Validator and their W3C CSS Validation service. |
